Writer/artist Jason Hackett is a communications professional in Colorado. Previously, he was a journalist of 12 years, winning numerous state and national awards for writing, design and graphics.
He has been a fan of superheroes for almost as long as he can remember, having started drawing Spider-Man when he was in first grade. His first comic book was Superman No. 400. Not long after that purchase, “Crisis on Infinite Earths” hit stores, and that led to several years as a fan of DC Comics.
Somehow, this comic-book geek was found by the world’s coolest woman, who not only accepted the geekiness, but married him and goes to every DC- and Marvel-inspired movie with him. Their two daughters can identify all major members of the Justice League and many X-Men, which Jason considers a great success in parenting.
After putting it off for most of his life, finally in 2007 he began pursuing his dream of creating a comic — only to be slowed again in that process after deciding to pursue a master’s degree in business communication. Now that graduation (summa cum laude!) has come and gone, the comic has restarted with zeal.
