New Direction

Because it’s impossible to keep up the comic-book style, I’m shifting gears to a humor strip. While I’m taking classes, it won’t be updated regularly, but this gives me the flexibility to try some new things.

I was sorry to see both the comic and the podcast stop. To be honest, the current humor stuff is so off base for your characters it feels cheap to me. I would rather see one new page a month to be honest. Or a new podcast a month. The story is what brought me here. I do understand being overwhelmed. My own comic is on hiatus in part for that reason and it is nowhere near your quality. I hope you are able to find the time to do this again. If not, thanks for what you did. I enjoyed it.

Hi Michael. Once again, thanks for taking the time to read/listen to my work. I’ll admit, your reaction pains me. Mostly because I agree with your sentiments. I wish I could make the comic work the way I want to, but it’s way beyond what I can do right now. I was only able to get this strip done because of some days off for the holidays.
I have to admit, I think my artistic talents are better suited for the cartoony than “superhero realistic.” And I’m intrigued with the challenge of trying to write quick-hitting humor.
But the podcast and novel aren’t going away totally; I just need to find time to pick them up again. I’m halfway through the second of my 12 eight-week classes, so nobody should hold their breath!
I’m sorry you had to halt your comic too. I like it!
Thanks again! I’ll be back sometime!!
